SUMMARY:Sizing and Investing Nonprofit Reserves
DESCRIPTION:Operating reserves provide nonprofits with a financial safety net\, allowing them to weather unexpected challenges like sudden drops in funding\, increased expenses\, or economic downturns. Reserve funds maintain stability and avoid service disruptions. While holding reserves is prudent\, it comes at a cost. Idle funds lose purchasing power and can limit portfolio performance. \nJoin us for this interactive workshop as we explore questions such as: \n\nHow much cash should we hold in operating reserves?\nWhat risk factors should we consider that impact the need for reserves?\nCash seems attractive today\, but is it the right place for the next several years?\nHow should we invest our reserves?\n\nThis session will be led by Chris Clarkson\, CFA\, Director\, and Ben Lucas\, Wealth Advisor of Bernstein Private Wealth Management. For over 55 years\, nonprofits have relied on Bernstein for holistic investment management and customized planning. \n
