Early Childhood Literacy

Description

Funds evidenced-based programs reaching children from birth to age eight, with a focus on underserved communities and children of color. Funds programs that increase the number of children who enter school ready to learn so they are proficient readers by fourth grade. Funds are provided for teacher support, instructional improvements, direct service and program expansion, and more.

Eligibility

Primarily supports programs in San Diego. Organizations must be a tax-exempt charitable organization in good standing, as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
