Grantmaking

Description

Through employee volunteerism and corporate charitable giving, Genentech aim to address disparities and diversify in the scientific and healthcare workforce, advance a more just healthcare system, and build local partnerships to ensure their communities thrive. Three key giving areas: Diversity in STEM, Health Equity, and Community Giving. Grants are by invitation only. Requests for proposals are periodically issued.

Eligibility

Organizations must be located in the U.S. and a tax exempt, public charity under IRS sections 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6); or be a US governmental organization (such as public schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and federally recognized Indian tribal governments. Requests must be submitted at least 60 days before the project/program/event start date.

Extra consideration is given to requests based where Genentech has a presence (South San Francisco, Vacaville, and Oceanside, CA as well as Hillsboro and Portland, OR). Additional restrictions may apply where applicable.
