Israel’s Mental Health and Trauma Recovery

This webinar was hosted in partnership with the Jewish Community Foundation San Diego. We heard from a dynamic group of presenters who:

  • Provided an overview of the pervasive trauma throughout Israeli society and share a landscape of current and needed mental health services.
  • Updated us on the mental health needs of returning hostages and the hostage families.
  • Addressed cutting-edge new interventions for clinicians and first responder training.

The conversation was moderated by Charlene Seidle, President and CEO of the Leichtag Foundation / Impact Cubed.

This week, we heard from Gila Tolub, co-founder and the executive director of ICAR, Israel’s Collective Action for Resilience, Dr. Jonathan Huppert, Helen and Sam Beber Chair of Clinical Psychology and Professor in the Department of Psychology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Dr. Ilana Kremer, a doctor, psychiatrist and psychotherapist who is part of the therapeutic unit of the Forum of the Hostages’ Families.
