Women During a Time of War
This webinar was hosted in partnership with the Jewish Community Foundation San Diego. Men have been the predominant reservists called up to active duty in Israel’s multi-front war. This has placed many women in the vital and often impossible position on the Israeli “home front” of being sole breadwinners and simultaneously the traditional caregivers for their families.
In this webinar, we dove into issues affecting women in Israel, including challenges for spouses of reservists, women in senior military roles, and female citizen activists. The conversation was hosted by Charlene Seidle, CEO of the Leichtag Foundation/Impact Cubed.
This week, we heard from Ofir Dayan, Researcher at the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), Sapir Bluzer, founder of the “Reservist Wives Forum”, and Fainy Sukenik, founder of Basher Telchi.
