Join Leichtag Foundation and Impact Cubed in aiding tornado victims.

An unprecedented, violent, and massive late-season storm system, which included at least 30 tornadoes, traveled up to 250 miles across portions of Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, and Kentucky the evening of December 10 into the early morning of December 11. Some 100 people are believed to be dead, trapped in a factory, a nursing home, and other demolished homes and businesses. Many more were injured and facing long recovery processes. The region now grapples with power and water outages as well as freezing temperatures which will cause more devastation. This is an American tragedy.

Please join the Leichtag Foundation and our partner Impact Cubed in providing emergency support to those most in need through these organizations we evaluated and funded:

Community Foundation of Western Kentucky is supporting relief and recovery efforts by working with local agencies and partners to provide temporary shelter, generators, medical supplies and equipment, and hygiene items.

Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland is providing ready-to-eat bags of food requiring no cooking or extra utensils.

IsraAID has been called upon by state officials to support search, rescue, and recovery in Mayfield, Kentucky, where over 10,000 people have lost buildings, homes, and power. IsraAid has deployed cutting-edge technology and a trauma-centered response to humanitarian disasters in more than 50 countries.

As we witness this destruction and people suddenly in need, we are called to our values to give and care for others as inspired by Jewish traditions and our common imperatives of safeguarding humanity and justice.

Please email us to let us know if you donate to any of these organizations. Thank you for helping to repair their communities.
